Inside or outside, quick bursts or 10k, I just love the clarity and enjoyment I get from running.
The calorie burning isn't so bad either.
If you frequent the blog, you may have read this post from a few weeks ago when I mentioned I've been upping my workout game. While weight lifting and Pilates are a big part of that, running still makes up the bulk of my cardio time.
Running for me offers great reflection time. I love to pump the tunes and day dream or work through my stresses. Before I know it I'm through my run.
But the key is upbeat and uplifting tunes. The kind of music you'd put on a driving or dancing playlist, but that has a steady tempo so that you keep a consistent pace.
When you're making a running playlist, I recommend not picking TOO many songs. I like to round mine out to roughly 30 minutes. this helps me not only know how long I've been running, but based on my pace also how far (usually about 3 miles or 5 kilometers for each run through of the playlist)
The songs change from time to time, but here are some tried and true favourites that make for an excellent run!
