It's been a long LONG week after last week's short short week, and I feel like I crammed all sorts of stuff in. I realized this morning (yes I'm writing this Friday morning over breakfast, "bad blogger") that I haven't cooked myself dinner once this week.
Which is going to explain all the food heavy pictures below. Seriously.
So before we skip off into weekend bliss, let's wind down with the Wine Down!
Right off the bat I'm looking for help and guidance. Fellow bloggers, Mom, whoever is reading; I need advice.
Lately I've started to feel a bit pigeon holed by the "Cook Wine and Thinker" title of my blog. I think I'll always want to talk about recipes, but I've been branching out into other stuff over the summer, which I really love.
I'd really like to focus on an overhaul and mission statement for the blog in the next few months, so I think now is the perfect time to change if possible. I bought a few more domain names, and would love some feedback on these new names I'm considering.
1) Cook, Wine and Thinker (keep what I've been using)
2) A Casual Elegance
3) This Classy Life
Currently #2 is in the lead. Let me know your thoughts!
No Cooking, Great Food!
If you follow My Instagram, you may have noticed all of the food heavy photos this week... Seriously I haven't cooked myself a single meal (I did eat at home on Monday, but Kris cooked)
Tuesday I was out with Amanda and Nela at Bru, for some tasty beers and muslces and frites!
Wednesday was dinner with Kris' family (oh and lunch with my friend Marlo, Vietnamese!)
Thursday Steph (who has 1 month until baby!) and Eric had me over for a delicious ricotta stuffed pasta and chicken, followed by an espresso and pie (yum).
Friday is pub night! Guys I've been eating like a king. All my fellow foodies are drooling, I know! Needless to say I need to become better friends with the rowing machine at the gym...
Family Fun Weekend
If you didn't get a chance to read my post from Monday, the ATV adventure for Kris' birthday was a BLAST! I would thoroughly recommend to anyone (even if I was SO sore afterward)
After the ATV fun, we were up at the cottage for the rest of the weekend with the fam! Swimming, canoeing, a golf day. We did so much stuff and had a blast! My dad's brothers and their families were up as well so we had an INCREDIBLY full house; this just meant more laughter and more fun! Plus with a new moon and a meteor shower, the night sky was beyond breathtaking.
Sunset wasn't so bad either.
If you're reading this from the Blog Passion Project Facebook group (or even if you're not!) I'm taking over the group Instagram Account on Saturday for the whole day!
I have some great things planned, I'm off to do an activity I've been itching to do all summer and I'm very excited. If you're not following the Blog Passion Project Instagram Account, be sure to do so now so you can check in with me tomorrow! If you're part of that Facebook group, talk to the admins about your own takeover day.
Of course, you can always follow me on My Instagram Account as well!
What I'm Drinking
Last week I tried to cut back on the drinking. This weekend was going to be the same... but then I started seeing Sangria recipes pop up everywhere!!!
I've decided to try my hand at making a Summer, White Peach Sangria... I have a LOT of peaches in the apartment right now. I will be sure to report back next week, but for now here's a photo of a delicious pitcher of Sangria from the internet.
Have a good weekend everybody! Please let me know your feedback below on my brand change!
