TIFF Presents King Street West

Toronto International Film Festival 2014

The Toronto International Film Festival always makes September a little brighter in the city.

Summer vacation is over and we’re all prepping for winter like squirrels, but TIFF gives our city a few days in the spotlight before months of slush and ice.

And boy is the weather cooperating this year! Beautiful!

For the first time this year in honour of the festival, Toronto has shut down King Street from University to Peter, to allow for street performers, advertisers, art exhibits, pedestrians and celebrities to walk the heart of the entertainment district without interference from traffic. Plus all of the restaurants doubled their patio sizes so that those last few rays of sunshine could be soaked up!

I threw on my favourite new summer skirt from the GAP with my Cobalt Blue blouse, grabbed my Kate Spade bag and my favorite Stella and Dot necklace and hit the streets!

King Street is open for business again on September 9th, but TIFF is still on until the 14th! Be sure to try and see a film, go celeb spotting, or just enjoy the atmosphere before summer is gone.
