Last night, the idea of turning on my oven or stove to make dinner was unbearable. It's been far too hot to consider heating up my apartment further.
So when it came time for dinner, I decided the best thing to do was keep it cool, fresh and light.
Enter: Vietnamese style, Fresh Shrimp Rolls.
The other day, Kris messaged me at work and asked if I could teach him how to make my family’s Chicken Curry recipe.
This family favourite (and just about everyone else’s’ as well) came to us through an old boyfriend of my Aunt’s in the 70s. His father was Indian, and one of the head chefs for Via Rail, so he knew how to cook! My grandmother, being the least shy person on the planet, asked for it, and our family has been making it ever since.

As much as my friends and I could have spent all weekend by the water, my dock is pretty small for 10-14 people, and there’s only so many times you can water ski!
Luckily, last fall my parents built a beautiful wraparound porch for the cabin, which gave us ample space for some pre-dinner snacks and activities.

Last night my friends and I decided to take in a Brad Paisley concert in Toronto.
I've never been the biggest country fan, but I love a good girls night out, the open air at the Molson Amphitheater, and taking in a concert so I figured what the heck!
A few years ago, one of the women at my office participated in a “Shoe Challenge” where she had to wear a different pair of “Work Appropriate” shoes every day for 30 work days. Wagers were placed, and in the end she was able to do it (with shoes to spare) – Read all about it here!
We were discussing the challenge this morning and decided that we would try again, only this time it would be to discover who had the MOST shoes.
